The Saudi Arabian national basketball team suffered a narrow 93-88 defeat against China on Tuesday in their opening Group 3 match of the 31st FIBA Asia Cup 2025, currently being hosted in Jeddah.

In another Group 4 matchup, Chinese Taipei defeated the Philippines 95-87.

The 31st edition of the FIBA Asia Cup tipped off earlier on Tuesday in Jeddah, bringing together elite national teams from Asia and Oceania. The tournament will continue until August 17.
