A British court has reopened a class-action lawsuit against Apple and Amazon concerning a 2018 agreement between the two companies that restricts the sale of Apple and Beats products by independent sellers on Amazon's platform.

The lawsuit accuses the companies of anti-competitive conduct, arguing that the agreement reduced the number of independent sellers who could sell Apple and Beats products on Amazon, potentially leading to higher prices for consumers.

This is not the first time the agreement has faced legal scrutiny. Apple and Amazon have faced similar cases and investigations in Germany, the United States, Spain, and Italy.

Consumer law academic Christine Riefa led the case, but the UK's Competition Appeal Court initially refused to accept it, expressing concerns about her ability to represent the group's interests independently, as well as questions about how the case was financed.
