The Sultanate of Oman expressed its condolences and sympathy on Sunday to the United States government and people, and to the families of the victims of the devastating floods that swept through the state of Texas, claiming dozens of lives.

In a statement, the Omani Foreign Ministry said that Oman sincerely wishes the injured a speedy recovery.

Earlier today, U.S. authorities announced that the death toll from the devastating floods that hit central Texas last Friday had risen to 50, including 15 children, with several others injured. Rescue teams are still searching for 27 girls who went missing at a summer camp in the state.
