The Muslim World League Welcomes Joint Statement by Britain, France, and Canada on Gaza Situation..

The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed on Wednesday the joint statement by Britain, France, and Canada regarding the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, which warned of concrete measures and targeted sanctions if the occupation does not halt its new military operations, cease settlement expansion, and lift restrictions on humanitarian aid.

In a press statement, MWL Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, who also heads the Association of Muslim Scholars, praised the joint declaration by the leaders of these countries, describing it as a "moral and responsible stance." He emphasized that this represents an important and just step "in support of the Palestinian people, who have endured prolonged suffering under the Israeli occupation's killing and destruction machine."

Al-Issa called on the international community to uphold its moral and legal responsibilities, intensify pressure to end these violations, hold perpetrators accountable, and compel Israel to immediately comply with UN resolutions and international humanitarian law.

On Monday, the leaders of France, the UK, and Canada strongly opposed Israel's planned military expansion in Gaza, stating that humanitarian suffering in the enclave has reached "unbearable levels."

In their joint statement, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and Canadian Prime Minister Marc Carney stressed that Israel's recent announcement to allow minimal food supplies into Gaza remains entirely insufficient. They demanded that the Israeli government immediately halt military operations and facilitate the unimpeded entry of humanitarian aid in coordination with the UN and in accordance with international humanitarian law.
