(Housing Sector): We are keen to intensify efforts to accelerate the pace of work on housing projects..

Acting Director General of the Public Housing Welfare Institution Rashid Al-Anzi emphasized on Wednesday the need to intensify efforts to accelerate housing project implementation and complete infrastructure services to coincide with citizens moving into new urban developments.

Al-Anzi made these remarks during a press statement marking the second meeting of the government coordination committee with the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy. The meeting addressed executive plans to overcome obstacles facing infrastructure projects in new housing cities, with the aim of developing solutions and submitting a detailed report on government agency performance to the Council of Ministers.

Al-Anzi stated that the committee would hold consecutive meetings with relevant government entities, in compliance with the Council of Ministers' decision and directives from Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Abdulatif Al-Mishari. The minister stressed the importance of continuous coordination between government agencies to ensure projects remain on schedule.

He noted that the Council of Ministers maintains direct and periodic oversight of implementing agencies' performance through weekly meetings and specialized committee sessions.
