As part of the ongoing preparations for the start of the 2026/2027 academic year, and the Ministry of Education’s keenness to complete the readiness work in schools and educational facilities and to create a suitable environment to receive learners and members of the teaching and administrative staff, and in implementation of the directives of the Minister of Education, Mr. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabai, the Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs, Engineer Hamad Al-Hamad, addressed the General Administration of Educational Districts, the General Administration of Religious Education and the General Administration of Special Education, regarding continuing preparations for the 2026/2027 academic year and activating the “Balagh” electronic program.

Al-Hamad stressed the importance of continuing the efforts made by the various concerned parties to complete the equipping of educational facilities, and instructing school administrations and affiliated bodies to activate the “Balagh” program during the current period, and to monitor and raise any observations or needs related to readiness first and foremost, in order to ensure that they reach the competent authorities and that the necessary measures are taken quickly regarding them and that the required tasks are completed in the best possible way.

He stressed the need to deal with observations and needs urgently during this stage, and to enhance integration and coordination with maintenance and services departments and relevant authorities in various educational districts, in order to support a rapid response to the needs of the field and to complete the remaining work according to the actual priorities of each school before receiving students.

The Ministry of Education explained that activating “Balagh” during this period comes within the framework of enhancing field follow-up and organizing the mechanism for monitoring the needs of schools, as the program contributed to linking schools, educational districts, readiness teams and relevant sectors within a unified electronic system, starting from recording the observation or need in the school and referring it directly to the competent authority, up to following up on the procedures taken regarding it, completing the required work and closing the report.

The ministry explained that this mechanism contributed to shortening the document cycle and reducing the need for paper correspondence and multiple procedures between entities, which ensures that the needs of schools reach the relevant teams quickly and enhances coordination between engineering, technical, services, supplies, warehouses and concerned parties, in addition to providing updated data and indicators on reports, completion rates and existing observations, which supports setting priorities and speeding up decision-making.

In this context, the Ministry of Education appreciated the efforts made by the engineering affairs, the readiness teams, and the relevant technical and service authorities, and what was accomplished during the summer vacation period in terms of work related to equipping schools and addressing the observations received through the “Balagh” electronic program, stressing that the circular comes as a continuation of these efforts and in conjunction with the return of school administrations, which allows monitoring any remaining needs or observations and dealing with them directly.

The ministry indicated that the preparedness teams and competent authorities followed up through the “Balagh” electronic program during the summer vacation period on more than 13,000 reports related to civil and electrical maintenance work, air conditioning units, water coolers, school cleaning, in addition to the supply of school books, school and office furniture and other readiness requirements, where 8,602 reports were completed and resolved, representing 65.2% of the total reports received, while work is underway on about 20.5% of the reports, in addition to 14.3% that represent new reports that are being dealt with.

The Ministry of Education affirmed the continuation of intensive monitoring during the coming period, and the intensification of efforts by sectors, readiness teams and competent authorities to complete the reports and ongoing work, stressing that activating “Report” in schools during this stage enhances the speed of monitoring and addressing needs, and consolidates integration between the field and the concerned sectors, which contributes to raising the level of readiness and completing the necessary preparations to receive our educated children with the start of the 2026/2027 academic year.
