Tesla is facing the largest recall in automotive history after China's market regulator ordered a massive recall focused on a problem with the door handles of electric and new energy vehicles. Tesla is at the top of the list of affected companies, with nearly 3 million Model 3 and Model Y vehicles being recalled, along with tens of thousands of imported cars.The recall also includes other companies such as Geely, Leapmotor, BAIC, Chery, Dongfeng, FAW Hongqi, and Xpeng, in addition to Xiaomi, which will recall approximately 390,000 SU7 vehicles. The problem stems from the flat electronic door handles, popularized by Tesla, which are more difficult to operate than traditional mechanical handles. The risk increases in the event of an accident that results in a low-voltage system failure, as the electronic locks and handles may stop working, while passengers may find it difficult to locate the mechanical emergency handles hidden inside the cabin.
