Airlines resume some Middle East flights amid continued cancellations..

International airlines have begun gradually resuming some flights to the Middle East after severe disruptions caused by the Iran-Iraq War, but the crisis continues to disrupt air traffic in the region overall, according to Reuters on Friday, May 29.

Airlines outside the Gulf region continued to reroute flights between Europe and Asia, avoiding major Middle Eastern airports, in an effort to mitigate the risks associated with the conflict. Greek

Aegean Airlines canceled its flights from Thessaloniki to Tel Aviv until June 26, to Dubai until August 31, and to Erbil and Baghdad until July 2.

Russian airline Aeroflot announced it would resume flights to the UAE starting June 1. Latvian airline Air Baltic canceled all flights to Tel Aviv until June 28 and to Dubai until October 24.

Canadian airline Air Canada extended its flight cancellations to Tel Aviv and Dubai until September 7, while Spanish airline Air Europa canceled its flights to Tel Aviv until June 28.

Air France-KLM suspended flights to Tel Aviv until June 7, to Beirut and Dubai until June 10, and to Riyadh until June 2. KLM suspended flights to Riyadh and Dammam until July 12 and to Dubai until August 2. Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong canceled all passenger flights to Dubai and Riyadh until August 31 and cargo services until May 31, with

plans

to resume scheduled flights after June. Delta Airlines extended the cancellation of its Atlanta-Tel Aviv flights until December 18, with plans to resume flights from New
