The Minister of Commerce and Industry and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Industry, Osama Boodai, issued a ministerial decree, published in the official gazette "Kuwait Today" in its issue released today, Sunday, regarding the rules and regulations for withdrawing industrial plots under the supervision of the Public Authority for Industry.
The decree specifies nine cases for withdrawing industrial plots, including: the industrial license holder obtaining the license or plot based on false or misleading information or through illegal means; the industrial project ceasing production for six months, reducing its production, or changing its production capacity without a justification approved by the Authority; failure to register the project in the industrial register; failure to update its data; violating the designated purpose of the site; leasing the plot or granting usufruct rights to others; disposing of it without adhering to the provisions of the law; violating environmental, safety, and industrial security regulations; and the expiration of the temporary allocation period.
The decree also stipulates the withdrawal of service, craft, and commercial plots, and the cancellation of allocations for service sites, sand quarries, aggregate storage facilities, scrap car yards, and craft units, in accordance with the ministerial decrees regulating each activity.
