Health Minister: Launching the electronic link for students' sick leave in cooperation with the Ministry of Education via "Sahl".

Health Minister Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi announced today, Tuesday, the launch of the electronic link for sick leave for public education students in coordination with the Ministry of Education and integration with the unified government application for electronic services (Sahl) within an interconnected digital system that simplifies procedures and raises the efficiency of performance within the framework of digital transformation and integration of government services.

Minister Al-Awadhi stated that sick leave certificates are now issued electronically by government health centers and hospitals, in accordance with approved regulations, and are sent automatically and directly to the Ministry of Education without the need for any paper transactions. This contributes to expediting procedures and enhancing their efficiency.

He explained that the project is based on an advanced digital infrastructure that adheres to the highest standards of governance, information confidentiality, and documentation accuracy, ensuring data reliability and integration among relevant entities and contributing to improved service quality.

He noted that this integration eliminates procedures that previously required multiple steps from the parent, who had to visit the school, then go to the health center to obtain the certificate, and then return to submit it manually. Now, parents only need to accompany the student to the health center, where government systems automatically and seamlessly complete the procedures until the certificate is approved by the school.

The Minister of Health added that this project represents a qualitative leap in the mechanism for providing health services related to the education sector and reflects the readiness of the country's digital system and its ability to provide accurate and rapid services based on effective integration between entities.
