On Saturday evening, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior issued a categorical denial regarding the accuracy of reports circulating on social media about a targeted explosion near Baghdad International Airport.

In a statement, the ministry said that the security situation in Baghdad is safe and stable, and no incident of this kind has been recorded, confirming that "these reports are completely baseless and aim to stir confusion among citizens."

Earlier today, media outlets and websites had circulated conflicting news about Iranian officers being targeted by an airstrike in the capital, Baghdad.
