The National Center for Culture concludes its 17th Summer Cultural Festival with the "Layl Al-Sahari" ceremony..

On the evening of Friday, the National Council for Culture, Arts, and Letters brought the 17th edition of the Summer Cultural Festival to a close with the "Layl Al-Sahari" (Sleepless Night) ceremony at the Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center.


In his opening speech at the ceremony, the Secretary-General of the Council, Dr. Mohammed Al-Jassar, stated that the festival, which ran from July 9th to August 29th, 2025, featured numerous events. These included diverse cultural and artistic activities spanning theater, artistic workshops, literature, and music.


He indicated that "the festival's events were varied to cater to all tastes, featuring theatrical performances, exceptional musical nights, and specialized workshops for adults and children that blended education, culture, and entertainment."


He added, "This success would not have been possible without your support, attendance, and interaction. You, the audience, are the beating heart of every cultural event, and it is thanks to your passion that our journey continues."


Al-Jassar extended his sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who contributed to the success of this festival, including artists, lecturers, participants, work teams, and the supportive audience.


The closing ceremony was performed by a selection of artists: Faisal Al-Saad, Fawaz Al-Marzouq, Khaled Al-Masoud, and the artist Ghanima. They were accompanied by a distinguished musical orchestra led by Maestro Rashid Al-Nwaished, with participation from the Ibrahim Talas Strings Ensemble from Turkey and the Kombo Band from Egypt. Together, they presented a selection of the most beautiful Kuwaiti songs.
