The Pentagon announces potential military sales to Ukraine worth $825 million..

The U.S. Department of Defense (The Pentagon) announced on Thursday that the U.S. Department of State has approved a potential military sale to Ukraine worth $825 million, which includes missiles and logistical equipment.

In a statement, the Pentagon's Defense Security Cooperation Agency stated that the potential military sale has a financial value of $825 million and includes HAWK missile systems, air munitions, positioning systems, spare parts, and related support equipment.

The agency clarified that this sale will "enhance Ukraine's capability to meet current and future threats by providing it with stronger air defense capabilities to carry out self-defense and regional security missions."

It added that this sale will also support "the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by improving the security of a partner nation that is a force for political stability and economic progress in Europe."

Earlier this month, the Pentagon announced the resumption of U.S. weapons shipments to Ukraine after approximately a week of confirming their suspension due to what it described as a review of U.S. weapons stockpiles.

In a statement, the Department said, "Under the direction of President Trump, the Department of Defense is sending additional defensive weapons to Ukraine to ensure the Ukrainian people are able to defend themselves while we work to achieve lasting peace and an end to the killings."
