The Drafting Committee for Resolutions and Recommendations of the 165th Session of the Ministerial Meeting of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) held a preparatory meeting in the State of Kuwait on Thursday.
The meeting was chaired by the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for GCC Affairs, Ambassador Najeeb Al-Bader, as part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming session.
In his opening remarks, Ambassador Al-Bader stated that the meeting is held in preparation for the works of the session and the joint ministerial meetings on its sidelines next Monday, including separate meetings with the Foreign Minister of Ukraine and the Foreign Minister of Japan.
He added that the meeting's agenda includes discussing 31 items and reviewing five recommendations to be submitted to the Supreme Council. He simultaneously praised the efforts of the General Secretariat of the Cooperation Council in preparing, organizing, and providing the necessary documents for the committee's work.
He affirmed that the meeting is being held during a delicate phase marked by accelerating regional and international transformations, which necessitates redoubling efforts and enhancing coordination and integration to solidify Gulf unity and meet the aspirations of the Council's peoples for a more stable and prosperous future.
He expressed his thanks to the participants for their active role, looking forward to fruitful deliberations that contribute to enhancing the Cooperation Council's status as a pillar of security and development and embodying a shared vision for a promising future for coming generations.
