**The fifth relief plane from the second Kuwaiti air bridge took off on Thursday morning from the Abdullah Al-Mubarak Air Base, headed to Marka Military Airport in Jordan, carrying 10 tons of food aid, in preparation for its delivery to our brothers in the Gaza Strip.**
This flight is organized by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society and coordinated with the Ministries of Social Affairs, Foreign Affairs, and Defense, represented by the Kuwait Air Force.
Prior to the takeoff, the Secretary-General of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, Fahad Al-Mundail, confirmed to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) the State of Kuwait's solidarity with the brothers in the Gaza Strip, stressing the Society's determination to continue providing aid urgently to meet the pressing and essential need for basic life requirements there.
Al-Mundail added that this fifth relief plane from the second air bridge comes in response to the directives of the country's wise leadership, embodying Kuwait's steadfast stance in supporting the Palestinian brothers and standing by them during these difficult humanitarian circumstances.
He mentioned that the Society is intensifying its efforts in coordination with the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Jordan, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, and the Palestinian Red Crescent to ensure the rapid and effective delivery of aid. At the same time, he appreciated the great cooperation from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Social Affairs, as well as Kuwaiti charitable associations and organizations, which provided all necessary facilities for the air bridge.
He revealed that the Egyptian Red Crescent Society will, on Thursday, begin transporting the first batch of aid provided by the State of Kuwait through the Kerem Shalom crossing, noting that the aid will be handed over to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society for distribution to affected families in the Strip.
Al-Mundail affirmed that the Society is closely monitoring the needs of the brothers in Gaza through its humanitarian partners, expressing gratitude to the wise political leadership, headed by His Highness the Amir of the country, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, the Prime Minister (may God protect and preserve them), for their constant keenness to support afflicted peoples and alleviate their suffering.
He expressed thanks to the donors of the "Relief for Gaza" campaign, which reflected the authenticity of Kuwaiti society and its solidarity with just humanitarian causes, affirming that the Kuwait Red Crescent Society will always be present in every humanitarian crisis, considering humanitarian work a noble message and a responsibility that does not stop at borders.
