Germany Clinches U19 Handball World Championship Title in Egypt After Thrilling Final Against Spain

The German national team won the U19 Handball World Championship, hosted by Egypt, after defeating Spain 41-40 in a dramatic final held on Sunday evening at the covered hall of Cairo International Stadium.

The match ended in a 36-36 draw after regulation time, forcing extra periods, which also concluded in a tie. The winner was ultimately decided by a penalty shootout, where Germany triumphed 41-40.

In the third-place match, Denmark secured victory over Sweden with a 33-31 scoreline. Meanwhile, the Egyptian national team claimed fifth place after defeating Iceland 33-31 in the 5th/6th place playoff.

Kuwait’s national handball team also participated in this edition of the Junior World Cup in Egypt, finishing in 26th place in the tournament, which featured 32 teams, including 7 Arab squads.
