, a Kuwaiti military transport aircraft carrying 10 tons of food aid for Gaza landed at El Arish International Airport in Egypt. This marks the first flight of Kuwait’s new relief airbridge to the enclave as part of the "Kuwait Stands With You" campaign.
Upon receiving the flight, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Egypt, Ghanem Al-Ghanem, expressed in a statement to KUNA his highest gratitude to:
His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah (may God protect him),
His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah (may God protect him),
for their directive to swiftly assist their brothers and sisters in Gaza and meet their urgent needs.
Ambassador Al-Ghanem also thanked the Kuwaiti people for their steadfast solidarity with the Palestinians, especially amid the difficult humanitarian conditions they currently endure.
He noted that the urgent relief supplies are part of an initiative launched by the Kuwaiti government, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Kuwaiti charitable organizations, to establish an airbridge supporting Palestinians in Gaza.
Al-Ghanem explained that the first airbridge flight, which arrived today in El Arish, carried 10 tons of food supplies, coordinated between:
Kuwait’s Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, and Social Affairs,
The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS),
The Egyptian and Palestinian Red Crescent Societies.
He extended special thanks to Egyptian authorities for their tireless efforts in facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza, as well as to the Egyptian Red Crescent for its crucial role in relief operations.
Fawaz Al-Mezroui, Director-General of the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS), who accompanied the relief flight, stated to KUNA that the aid was dispatched under the directives of:
His Highness the Amir,
His Highness the Crown Prince,
His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah,
to support Palestinians in Gaza.
Al-Mezroui added:
"Today, the first shipment of Kuwait’s humanitarian airbridge arrived at El Arish International Airport, consisting of food supplies for our brothers and sisters in Gaza."
He affirmed that the Kuwaiti airbridge will continue providing diverse humanitarian and relief aid based on the needs of the Palestinian people, in coordination with the Egyptian and Palestinian Red Crescent Societies.
