The U.S. President praises Apple's decision to increase its investments within the United States..

U.S. President Donald Trump commended Apple Inc. on Wednesday for its decision to significantly increase its investments in the United States. During a White House address, Trump announced, "Apple has declared it will invest $600 billion in the U.S. over the next four years—a $100 billion increase over its original planned investment."

This follows Apple's official statement detailing a new $100 billion commitment to America, substantially accelerating its U.S. investment plans, which now total $600 billion through the next four years.

The tech giant emphasized that today's announcement includes an ambitious new U.S. manufacturing initiative designed to bring more of its supply chain and advanced production to American soil. Apple highlighted that this expansion will deepen its nationwide investments and encourage global suppliers to manufacture critical components domestically.

Apple CEO Tim Cook stated in the release, "This includes new and expanded collaborations with 10 companies across America that produce components for Apple products sold worldwide. We appreciate President Trump's support."

Earlier this year, Trump had unveiled billions in new U.S. investments across key industries, including automotive, energy, and technology.

The President made these remarks during a White House "Investing in America" event attended by CEOs of major corporations. Collectively, these companies announced over $2 trillion in new investments, bringing the cumulative total to approximately $8 trillion.
