A Florida jury has issued a partial verdict against Tesla, holding the company partly responsible for a fatal accident that occurred in 2019 while using the Autopilot system.

Under the ruling, Tesla must pay a portion of damages of up to $329 million to the victim's family and a survivor, including damages for actual damages and punitive damages. The details of the case suggest that Tesla will bear 33% of the responsibility for the accident, an estimated $42.5 million in actual damages.
