U.S. military fighter jets intercept a civilian aircraft that violated the airspace of Trump's residence in New Jersey..

The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) reported that its fighter jets intercepted a civilian aircraft for the second consecutive day after it entered restricted airspace above former President Donald Trump's resort in Bedminster, New Jersey, where he was spending the weekend.

In a statement posted on its official X (formerly Twitter) account Sunday evening, NORAD added: 'The civilian aircraft entered the restricted airspace above the resort, prompting the Air Force to rapidly scramble fighter jets to intercept it.'

The command clarified: 'The fighter jets deployed flares to warn the pilot, who immediately complied and exited the area.'

NORAD noted this marks the second time during the weekend that a civilian aircraft was intercepted flying in the same airspace.

The command urged general aviation pilots to check all airspace updates before takeoff, especially when flying near restricted zones, to avoid interception incidents that could endanger them.

These violations have increased in frequency since Trump began his second term last January. In July, NORAD intercepted five aircraft in a single day over Bedminster, and a similar incident occurred in March near the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida."
