Ministry of Interior: It is necessary to follow up on those whose citizenship has been revoked under Article (8) of the Nationality Law and to process the adjustment of their legal status..

The Ministry of Interior affirmed on Sunday the necessity of following up on women whose citizenship has been revoked under Article 8 of the Kuwaiti Nationality Law to process the adjustment of their legal status.

In an official press statement, the Ministry stated: "In line with the concerned authorities' commitment to facilitating procedures and ensuring continued access to benefits granted under the 'Kuwaiti Treatment' classification, and as a follow-up to the initial statement regarding the mechanism for status adjustment and proof of serious intent, the Ministry emphasizes the importance of initiating these procedures within the specified timeframe."

The Ministry clarified that: "Any delay in status adjustment or failure to demonstrate serious intent will result in the cancellation of these benefits."

It further noted that: "Adjusting one's status does not preclude the right to file appeals with the Committee for Appeals Regarding the Revocation, Nullification, and Loss of Kuwaiti Citizenship. The final deadline for status adjustment and proof of serious intent is August 31, 2025."

The Ministry of Interior added that it will soon announce a dedicated electronic platform for submitting status adjustment documents and proof of serious intent, designed to facilitate the process for eligible beneficiaries.
