The Saudi General Court of Audit (GCA) and the Turkish Court of Accounts signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Saturday to enhance bilateral cooperation in accounting, auditing, and professional oversight.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that GCA President Houssam Al-Anqari represented the Saudi side during the signing ceremony at the GCA's branch office in Makkah region, while Turkish Court of Accounts President Metin Yener represented the Turkish side.
In remarks following the signing, Al-Anqari emphasized the Court's ongoing efforts to "strengthen cooperation and partnership with counterpart institutions in brotherly and friendly countries through signing numerous agreements and memoranda of understanding."
For his part, Turkish official Metin Yener highlighted the MoU's significance in enhancing joint work between the two institutions, which would contribute to improving operational efficiency and elevating audit quality standards for both parties.
Through this MoU, both institutions aim to exchange expertise, build professional capacities, and develop audit manuals. The agreement also covers performance auditing through joint research and advisory projects, in addition to organizing meetings, conferences, and training programs on topics of mutual interest.
