Kuwait's Oil Minister Tarek Al-Roumi reiterated the nation's commitment to supporting oil market stability efforts, emphasizing that OPEC+ alliance decisions are based on comprehensive market data.
The remarks came in an official statement from the Ministry of Oil on Tuesday following Minister Al-Roumi's participation in the 61st Ministerial Meeting of the OPEC+ Joint Ministerial Monitoring Committee (JMMC), held via videoconference to review the voluntary production cut agreement.
Minister Al-Roumi expressed optimism about oil market fundamentals, noting that OPEC+ efforts aim to ensure energy security and market balance. He highlighted that the meeting demonstrated member countries' commitment to the Declaration of Cooperation, which supports global economic growth and strengthens investor confidence in oil markets.
Kuwait's delegation included OPEC Governor Mohammad Al-Shatti and the country's National Representative to OPEC, Sheikh Abdullah Sabah Salem Al-Hamoud Al-Sabah.
