The Secretary-General of the (Gulf Cooperation Council): The joint Gulf ministerial meeting affirms support for Saudi Arabia's initiative to implement the two-state solution..

The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Jasem Al-Budaiwi, affirmed on Monday that the joint Gulf ministerial meeting reaffirmed support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s initiative to establish an international alliance for implementing the two-state solution and discussed joint efforts to resolve the Palestinian issue.

The GCC General Secretariat stated in a release that this followed Al-Budaiwi’s participation in a coordination meeting on the sidelines of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Palestinian Issue and Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held at the Permanent Mission of the State of Kuwait to the United Nations in New York.

The statement added that the GCC foreign ministers discussed several key topics, most notably the latest developments in the Palestinian territories and the Gaza Strip, as well as coordination on issues addressed at the international conference for implementing the two-state solution.

The statement noted that the ministers reviewed the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Gaza, particularly the unprecedented conditions that have led to a severe shortage of aid due to Israel’s obstinate blockade and use of starvation tactics against the people of Gaza—a violation of all international norms, laws, and conventions.

It emphasized that the occupation’s violations have caused widespread famine and a critical shortage of medical supplies. The ministers called for sustained pressure on Israel to open all crossings to ensure the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.

The General Secretariat stated that Al-Budaiwi urged regional and international efforts, in cooperation with countries, organizations, and institutions worldwide, to lift the siege on the Palestinian people and facilitate the immediate and unrestricted entry of all humanitarian and relief aid.
