Samsung began its major push towards AI technologies with the launch of the Galaxy S24 series last year, and since then the Galaxy AI suite has expanded its features, powered by Google's Gemini platform, at least for now.
Today, Choi Won-joon, Samsung's chief operating officer in Samsung's mobile division, revealed in statements to Reuters that the company is completely open to other alternatives, provided that those alternatives provide the best possible experience for users.
Samsung is currently in talks with OpenAI and Perplexity to integrate their AI services into its upcoming phones, and this move is likely to start with the Galaxy S26 series.
