Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs Congratulates Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club on Winning West Asia Wheelchair Basketball Championship
Her Excellency Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, the Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, extended her sincerest congratulations and best wishes to the Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club on winning the title of the 9th West Asia Wheelchair Basketball Clubs Championship today, Friday. The tournament was held in Amman, the capital of Jordan.
In a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Huwaila emphasized that this remarkable sporting achievement reflects the strong will and determination of Kuwaiti athletes. She noted that this success highlights the honorable image of Kuwaiti sports and strengthens Kuwait’s standing in regional and international sporting arenas.
Al-Huwaila expressed her deep appreciation for the tremendous efforts made by the club’s members, as well as the technical and administrative staff, which led to this accomplishment. She affirmed that this victory would not have been possible without the continuous support of the wise political leadership and its ongoing care for Kuwaiti citizens with disabilities in various fields.
She stressed that Kuwait takes great pride in this sporting achievement, which adds an important milestone to Kuwait’s sports record. She also wished the heroes of the Disabled Sports Club continued success and further accomplishments in the future.
Today, the Kuwaiti Disabled Sports Club clinched the West Asia Wheelchair Basketball Clubs Championship title after a decisive victory in the final match against Jordan’s Ajyal Al-Ghad (Generations of Tomorrow) team, with a score of 74-35. The tournament was held in Amman, Jordan.
