The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) today condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli occupation's shelling of the Holy Family Church (Latin Patriarchate) in Gaza City.

In its statement, the OIC:

1. Also denounced repeated settler attacks on St. George's Church and Christian cemetery in Taybeh near Ramallah

2. Warned of escalating Israeli targeting of Islamic and Christian holy sites

3. Called these actions "flagrant violations of international laws protecting places of worship"

The 57-nation body:

• Held Israel fully responsible for continued desecration of holy sites

• Urged international community to:
  • Condemn these violations
  • Provide immediate protection for Palestinian people and sacred sites
