Egypt has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces' targeting of places of worship in the Gaza Strip, including mosques and churches.
In an official statement, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry denounced the bombing of the Church of Saint Porphyrius (Greek Orthodox Church) in Gaza, which resulted in three fatalities, describing the attack as "a new crime and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law."
The ministry vehemently condemned the systematic violations of international humanitarian law by the Israeli occupation in its ongoing aggression against innocent Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Cairo called on the international community to put an immediate end to these violations, urging it to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its obligations to protect places of worship and ensure that holy sites remain inviolable under any circumstances.
