Kuwait Shooting Sport Club Chairman Daij Al-Otaibi stated that the club's organization of a marksmanship training course at the Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex, in cooperation with the Public Sports Authority, aligns with the club's strategy to expand the nation's shooter base and discover new Kuwaiti talents.

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Wednesday, Al-Otaibi added that the course has attracted over 1,000 male and female participants across all Olympic shooting disciplines - shotgun, pistol, and Olympic archery. The two-month program aims to refine these talents through advanced technical standards and training methodologies under the supervision of international coaches.

He explained that the collaboration with the Sports Authority reflects the club's commitment to empowering Kuwaiti youth passionate about the sport, enhancing their technical skills while productively utilizing their summer break. He praised the Authority's support, particularly that of Acting Director General Bashaar Abdullah and his deputies, for overcoming obstacles to achieve sporting accomplishments.

Al-Otaibi commended the remarkable dedication and promising performance shown by participating shooters, signaling the emergence of new talents in Kuwaiti shooting sports - a discipline already graced by champions who have achieved numerous accolades at Olympic, world, continental, and regional competitions.

Regarding Kuwait's national shooting team, Al-Otaibi confirmed the shooters' rigorous training regimen in preparation for upcoming championships, applauding their exceptional efforts to hoist Kuwait's flag in international arenas.

He extended gratitude to the nation's political leadership for their consistent patronage of shooting sports through directives ensuring support for the club's success-driven plans. Al-Otaibi reaffirmed the club's determination to intensify efforts toward sustained progress in the sport.
