Her Excellency Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan, Minister of Public Works, confirmed on Monday that ministry teams are actively executing field operations under new contracts for comprehensive road maintenance. This implementation aligns with the ministry's strategic plan to enhance road network efficiency and upgrade infrastructure according to the highest technical standards.
In a press statement, Al-Mashaan stated: "Our technical and engineering teams are conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure adherence to scheduled timelines, and verify quality standards." She emphasized the ministry's commitment to improving road quality to better serve users and support national infrastructure development goals.
Abdullah Bu Hamad, Deputy Supervisor for Contract No. 11 in the Capital Governorate, reported: "Our work crews are currently deployed at the Fifth Ring Road near the Passports Roundabout towards Jahra, overseeing the latest developments in comprehensive road maintenance operations."
Bu Hamad added: "Ongoing work includes laying a model asphalt layer (Type 3) as part of the road rehabilitation phases, fully compliant with safety requirements and technical quality specifications."
