Morocco and Germany stress the importance of coordinating positions on regional and international issues..

Rabat - Morocco and Germany affirmed on Monday their steadfast commitment to enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries and intensifying coordination and consultation regarding developments in regional and international situations of mutual interest.

The Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that this came during a phone call between Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and his German counterpart, Annalena Baerbock.

The statement clarified that this call served as an opportunity to reaffirm the exceptional nature of bilateral relations between Rabat and Berlin, highlighting the shared commitment of both sides to advance these ties into a forward-looking strategic partnership, building on the positive momentum in bilateral cooperation.

According to the statement, the two ministers emphasized the importance of continuing the strategic dialogue between the two countries, which was launched under the joint declaration signed in Rabat in 2022 and is held regularly. In this context, it was decided that the next round of this dialogue will take place in the Moroccan capital.

They also stressed the importance of enhancing consultation and coordination on regional and international issues of strategic priority, in light of current challenges and transformations at both regional and global levels.
