 His Excellency Minister of Education Sayyid Jalal Al-Tabatabai has issued Ministerial Decree No. [X] approving a comprehensive new organizational structure for the Ministry, following an in-depth technical study of its administrative needs. This strategic restructuring aligns with Kuwait's government modernization initiatives and royal directives to enhance institutional performance and modernize educational operations.

Key Features of the New Structure:

  1. Streamlined Leadership:

    • Reduces senior positions to three key roles:

      • One Undersecretary

      • Two Assistant Undersecretaries (overseeing Educational Affairs and Administrative & Technical Affairs)

  2. Optimized Departments:

    • Each sector now includes 8 general directorates (16 total).

    • Eliminates redundancy by merging overlapping units and clarifying responsibilities.

  3. Enhanced Governance & Digital Transformation:

    • Promotes agile governance principles to improve decision-making.

    • Supports digital transformation and service quality in education.

  4. Minister’s Office Restructuring:

    • Now includes six dedicated departments:

      • Minister’s Office

      • Educational & Administrative Affairs

      • National Commission for UNESCO

      • Legal Affairs

      • Public Relations & Educational Media

      • Inspection & Auditing

    • New "Gifted Students Office" under the Minister’s direct supervision to nurture innovation.

  5. Upgraded Key Units:

    • National UNESCO Committee elevated to a Directorate, strengthening Kuwait’s role in global education and culture.

    • Citizen Service Office expanded into a Complaints & Citizen Services Directorate, improving transparency and public engagement.
