The Sultanate of Oman expressed on Sunday its profound concern, condemnation, and denunciation of the dangerous escalation resulting from the United States' military strikes against nuclear facilities in Iran.
The Omani News Agency stated that the Sultanate calls for immediate and comprehensive de-escalation, emphasizing that "the U.S. action risks expanding the conflict and constitutes a grave violation of international law and the United Nations Charter, which prohibits the use of force and the infringement of national sovereignty, including states' legitimate right to develop nuclear programs for peaceful purposes."
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the execution of what he described as "successful" strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities (Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan) to eliminate Iran's nuclear program. This followed days of speculation about potential U.S. military intervention in Iran.
