Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States, Sheikha Al-Zain Al-Sabah, and the Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, met with US Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum to discuss ways to enhance strategic relations between the two countries, particularly in the field of energy.

In a statement received by the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Wednesday, the Kuwaiti Embassy in Washington said the meeting also addressed the upcoming construction of a memorial in Washington honoring the operations Desert Storm and Desert Shield.

Sheikh Nawaf Saud Al-Nasser Al-Sabah discussed with Secretary Burgum ways to strengthen energy cooperation and enhance the strategic partnership between Kuwait and the United States during the meeting, which was held at the US Department of the Interior in Washington.

According to the statement, the Embassy of Kuwait in Washington also hosted a roundtable dialogue attended by Sheikh Nawaf Al-Sabah in collaboration with the Atlantic Council, a US-based think tank specializing in international affairs.

During the discussions, Sheikh Nawaf highlighted various topics, including solar energy, artificial intelligence, carbon recycling, and Kuwait’s growing role in the global energy sector.
