The Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company (KUFPEC) announced today that its Indonesian subsidiary, KUFPEC Indonesia, has received official approval from the Indonesian government for the development plan of the Anambas field, located offshore in the hydrocarbon-rich West Natuna Sea.
Strategic Significance: The field lies in the resource-rich West Natuna Basin, a cornerstone of KUFPEC’s Southeast Asia portfolio.
Development Plan: Approved strategy includes phased development to unlock the field’s gas and condensate potential.
Infrastructure: Involves production well drilling, subsea pipeline installation, and integration with existing West Natuna transportation infrastructure.
KUFPEC CEO Eissa Al-Maraghi stated:
